Most stores will be closed on Monday, July 1, 2024, under the Retail Business Holidays Act, though some, like gas stations and flower shops, are exempt.

In Stratford, small retail stores with up to four employees and less than 3,000 sq ft of space can open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Violations of this law can lead to fines of up to $50,000 or the total gross sales for the day.

Enjoy a free swim at the Stratford Lions Pool from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Celebrate Canada Day in Stratford at Market Square from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and join the parade at 6:00 p.m., starting at Lakeside Drive and Waterloo Street and ending at the Rotary Complex.

Road closures will be in effect from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

More festivities at the Stratford Education and Recreation Centre (SERC) will begin at 7 p.m., with fireworks at dusk.

Please note that Stratford Transit, LCBO, banks, and government-run facilities will be closed on July 1.
