The McDonald’s on Erie Street in Stratford will close from August 6 to August 27 for major renovations.
General Manager Will Mason explains that the grill will be redesigned for improved efficiency, and a new area will be added for delivery drivers.
The drive-thru and front counter sections will be combined into one area with a dedicated drink crew to streamline service.
“The drive-thru is about 80% of our business, so it’s just to help move that along a little bit easier,” Mason said.
Mason noted that the last full renovation was in 2012, making this update necessary.
“You will expect to see a faster and more efficient running restaurant,” he said.
During the closure, staff will be reassigned to the Ontario Street location, and management will use the time for additional training. There will be no layoffs.
Customers can visit the Ontario Street location while the Erie Street restaurant is closed.
