Aging with agility workshops through Stratford Public Library

Stratford Public Library is offering a number of senior programs through their Aging with Agility workshops.

Robyn Godfrey from the local library said the focus is on the positive aspects of aging, and, this month, teaching about relationship resilience and managing connections with friends and family through change or adversity.

One of the workshops happens Friday, through a partnership with the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth. Guests can meet and cuddle with animals and learn about the adoption process.

Events continue this month, including a speed friending for seniors workshop on Sept. 26 at the Ritsma Room at the Agriplex.

It will feature refreshments and ice breaker games.

“And of course the opportunity to make a new friend or two for life,” Godfrey said.

Events are planned until December.
