Hospital wait times continue to grow in Ontario but Stratford General Hospital and others in the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance are below the provincial average.
The latest numbers from Ontario Health show the average wait to be seen by a doctor in emergency departments was 2.1 hours as of September, up from two hours in August.
The longest delay was almost four-and-a-half hours at the Windsor Regional Hospital, while E-R patients waited the shortest time at the South Bruce-Grey health centre in Durham – just 30 minutes.
The report shows 88 per cent of all emergency room patients finished their visit within the target time of eight hours.
The wait times in all Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance hospitals was below the average.
Stratford General Hospital reported a wait time of 1.7 hours. Clinton Public Hospital was at about 45 minutes. Seaforth Community Hospital reported a 60 minute wait time, while St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital was just under 90 minutes.
