Teahen Children’s Charity Gala will help community youth

It’s a chance to help youth in the community and enjoy a night out.

The annual Teahen Children’s Charity Gala is Saturday at the Tom Patterson Theatre in Stratford, beginning at 7 p.m.

Courtney Teahen, Community Affairs and Admin Director for Teahen Construction, explained that the gala is chance to come together for a good cause, to help youth and teens in the community.

“It really does take a village to help kids get to where they need to be,” said Teahen.

The gala raises funds for the company’s two charities, the Teahen Construction Ltd Scholarships Fund and the Teahen Family Nutrition and Wellbeing Fund.
The scholarship fund awards six scholarships a year split between the public and Catholic school boards.
The nutrition program supplies food to snack and breakfast programs at local schools, as well as pantry programs at local libraries.

You can purchase a ticket for $200.

Teahen explains that it costs $10 a day to feed a child and the ticket purchase alone makes a difference.

“What they’re really giving is the opportunity to help 20 children,” she said.

There will be cocktails, appetizers and Juno award winner Ron Sexsmith to entertain guests.

There will also be a silent and live auction.

To purchase a ticket, call Teahen Construction or email [email protected].
