A star-studded event is celebrating Christmas in the city.
A Stratford Christmas is set for Dec. 14 at the Stratford Festival Theatre.
Actress Sheila McCarthy, hosting the second annual event with David Rogers, spoke about how the show gets people ready for the holiday season and celebrates community.
“It got me into the holiday spirit in such a big way, the audience was incredible, the talent was incredible,” expressed McCarthy.
The event promises to have a plethora of local celebrities, from musicians to singers and actors.
“Its a showcase of talent we don’t always see on the festival stage,” said McCarthy.
Local musicians include Dayna Manning, Marcus Nance, Monique Lund and Hannah Thomas.
It will cover an array of musical genres, from opera and musical theatre and classic Christmas songs.
This year’s theme is “Especially for You”, with a portion of proceeds going towards a donation to The Local Community Food Centre.
The show starts at 2 p.m.
