City of Stratford reminding residents to stay warm inside public buildings

With freezing cold temperatures in the forecast for the next few days, the City of Stratford is reminding residents of the public buildings that are open for those who need to stay warm.

This includes City Hall, open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Rotary Complex, open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and the Stratford Public Library.

Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for tonight (Jan. 21) into Wednesday morning, windchill expected to be minus 30 to as low as minus 35, with a risk of frostbite.

If you or someone you know is experiencing homelessness, contact the City of Stratford Social Services Department and ask to speak with a member of the Outreach team or visit 82 Erie Street in-person any weekday from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m.
