A nationwide movement has reached the streets of Stratford.
Downtown Stratford BIA launched a new local initiative as part of the national ‘Shop Main Street Canada. Support Local’ campaign.
Jamie Pritchard, BIA general manager, says the campaign is more than shopping local, it’s about investing in the future of Stratford.
“In these times with tariffs and things, we have to pull together really work on helping our local businesses, our downtown businesses, you know thrive and survive.”
The campaign encourages the community to embrace a local-first mindset and recognize the importance of supporting main street businesses that serve as the economic and cultural heartbeat.
“We’re all in this together, standing shoulder to shoulder, elbows up, to work on this together,” said Pritchard.
Stratford is one of many locations across the country that are implementing this initiative.
