Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) issued a boil water advisory for the St. Paul’s drinking water system on Tuesday.
The advisory, posted on the Township of Perth South Facebook page, said the precautionary measure could be in effect for two or three days.
The advisory is due to an extended loss of pressure and a lack of disinfection following routine maintenance conducted by the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA).
The post stated that unexpected complications during maintenance required a system shutdown. The advisory was issued not due to an adverse sample, but as a precaution.
You should boil your water before use to ensure safety.
