Stratford City Council will address a staff recommendation for phase two of the Albert Street reconstruction project at their meeting tonight at city hall.
A report from project manager Nick Sheldon seeks council approval to accept the low bid of $4.18 million from Van Bree Drainage and Bulldozing.
The project, from Front Street to King Street, includes underground infrastructure replacement, active transportation enhancements and road and sidewalk improvements.
Thirty-six contractors signed up for a procurement opportunity and nine submitted a bid.
The project is funded through a combination of existing reserve funds and a $1.74 million provincial grant.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. A full agenda can be found here.
