Stratford City Council gave the green light for phase two of the Albert Street reconstruction project.
The project, from Front Street to King Street, includes underground infrastructure replacement, active transportation enhancements as well as road and sidewalk improvements.
Council approved the bid unanimously for the $4.18 million contract with Van Bree Drainage and Bulldozing for the next phase of the project.
The project is funded through existing reserve funds and a $1.74 million provincial grant.
