Huron Perth Public Health announced on Thursday (April 3) several more measles exposures at local hospitals.
Exposures occurred at Listowel Memorial Hospital emergency department on Sunday, March 23 from 1:51 p.m. until 9:58 p.m. and on Monday, March 24, from 2:13 p.m. until 8:13 p.m.
Another exposure happened at Wingham and District Hospital’s emergency department on Sunday, March 30, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Anyone at these locations during these times needs to monitor for measles signs and symptoms for 21 days after exposure.
Call public health at 1-888-221-2133 ext. 3299, if you/your family member were present at this location during this timeframe and you/your family member were born in or after 1970 and have not received two doses of measles-containing vaccines or you/your family member are at high risk of severe measles illness.
