HPPH holding measles vaccination clinic on Monday in Listowel

As Huron Perth remains an area of concern for measles, the local public health unit is holding a measles vaccination clinic on Monday in Listowel.

Huron Perth Public Health say it is open to infants six months of age or older, children, and individuals born in or after 1970 who are not up to date on their measles vaccinations.

Public health has investigated 94 confirmed and probable cases of measles since February.

Vaccination is the most effective way to protect against measles and two doses of a measles-containing vaccine can provide over 97 per cent protection.

The vaccination clinic will be at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Do not attend the clinic if you have been in contact with someone who has or had the measles within the last 21 days or if you have signs or symptoms of measles.

Appointments are required for the clinic and can be booked online.
