It’s a big event in St. Marys when nearly 1,000 people show up.
That was the attendance for St. Marys Firefighter’s annual breakfast last year, and the FD is hoping to welcome even more on May 4 at the fire hall on James Street.
It’s an opportunity to gather, learn, and support, with proceeds going towards efforts against Muscular Dystrophy.
St. Marys Deputy Fire Chief Phil West said firefighters start preparing months in advance to ensure success while Fire Chief Richard Anderson said it’s an opportunity to talk fire prevention, promote fire safety and discuss emergency preparedness week, May 4-10.
The fundraiser breakfast, from 8 a.m. until noon, includes pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, toast, juice, coffee, and tea.
Parking is available at the high school.
Cost is $10 for adults/$5 per child ages five to 12.
