HPPH advises of another community measles exposure in Stratford

Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) has advised of another community measles exposure, at Stratford General Hospital’s emergency room on Thursday, April 17.

Public health said the exposure occurred from 4:15 p.m. until 7:40 p.m. Anyone who was at the locations during that time needs to monitor for measles signs and
symptoms for 21 days after exposure.

You are advised to call public health at 1-888-221-2133 ext. 3299, if you/your family member were present during the timeframes, and you/your family member were born in or after 1970 and have not received two doses of measles-containing vaccines, or at high risk of severe measles illness (compromised immunity, pregnant, or less than 12 months old).
