Joey Votto is this year’s Tip O’Neill Award winner.
The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame made the announcement this morning. This is the fifth time Votto, who plays for the Cincinnati Reds, has won the award in six years.
It goes to the Canadian player judged to have excelled in individual achievement and team contribution while adhering to baseball’s highest ideals.
