Environment Canada hopes damaged weather radar will be fixed this week

Environment Canada says it hopes the Exeter weather radar is back up and running this week.

A report in the London Free Press says the station, which tracks storms for our area, has been offline for more than a week.

Geoff Coulson with the agency told the Free Press that a part needed to fix it had to be ordered from overseas.

He added they’re hoping to have the radar station repaired by Wednesday.

Coulson told the Free Press that radar coverage for the time being is coming from Detroit, Cleveland and King City near Toronto.
