Jody Eidt will spend the next three years in jail.
The former West Perth man was sentenced on eight counts of fraud over $5,000 yesterday according to a report in the Beacon Herald. Eidt pleaded guilty in February to running a mortgage investment scheme that cost his victims more than $1.2 million.
On top of the jail time Eidt is also banned from getting a job for the next 20 years that would involve controlling other people’s money and property. He’ll also have to pay restitution to his victims.
