Woodstock trucking company employee dies after industrial accident in Kitchener

Waterloo Region police say a man working for a Woodstock based trucking company has died after a large piece of granite fell on him in Kitchener.

Emergency crews were called to KW Countertop late Monday morning for an industrial accident.

Police believe the large slab fell on the man while it was being unloaded from the truck.

The 47-year-old from London was later pronounced dead at the scene, his name has not been released.

The Ministry of Labour has been called in to investigate.
