Green Party selects candidate for Perth-Wellington riding for Ontario election

Another candidate has thrown her hat into the ring to be the next MPP for Perth-Wellington.

Lisa Olsen will represent the Green Party of Ontario in the Ontario election scheduled for June 7th after being chosen by the party, Olsen grew up in Wellington County and then moved to Kitchener-Waterloo before moving with her family to Perth County, she has worked in human services for the past two decades and is also a writer with her work appearing in the Waterloo Region Record and the Guelph Mercury.

She says people should vote for her because her party has the best policies to help the area grow.

“If you believe in supporting local economies through small businesses, if you believe in supporting each citizen in Perth-Wellington, if you believe in how we treat our planet, people, and our citizens matter, it would be the Green Party that you would be voting for.”

Other candidates to enter the provincial race in Perth-Wellington are current PC MPP Randy Pettapiece and NDP candidate Michael O’Brien.
