A Woodstock Police officer is recovering from minor injuries and a Stratford woman faces charges after a collision in Perth County.
Around 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon, Woodstock Police say members of their Criminal Intelligence Unit saw a Silver Ford Fusion in the west end of the city that had earlier been reported as stolen.
They say officers followed the vehicle as it travelled north outside of the city limits and they contacted the Stratford Police and requested help in stopping it.
Around 4:30 p.m., Stratford Police tried to stop the vehicle in the Perth Road 113 and Perth Line 26 area but it didn’t stop and a collision happened between the stolen vehicle and a Woodstock cruiser with an officer suffering minor injuries.
The vehicle was then stopped by police and a 22-year-old Stratford woman and a 26-year-old man of no fixed address were arrested.
Both face numerous charges including flight from peace officer and possessing meth.
