Perth-Wellington Federal Liberal Association set to nominate candidate

The Perth-Wellington Federal Liberal Association is set to nominate their candidate for the upcoming federal election.
While nothing is official until the writ is dropped in Ottawa, the association says it will gather for a nomination meeting in Stratford on August 12th where Pirie Mitchell will be nominated as the Liberal candidate.
Following a career as a elementary and secondary special education teacher, Mitchell went on to lead churches in St.Marys, Stratford and Palmerston as a Minister with the United Church of Canada.
He joins a field of candidates in Perth-Wellington for the October election that already includes incumbent Conservative John Nater, Geoff Krauter for the NDP, Dr. Collan Simmons for the Green Party and Ken Metzger for the People’s Party of Canada.
