A 28-year-old Mississauga man has been charged in connection to a bomb threat at the Region of Waterloo International Airport.
Police say they were called out to the airport around 2 o’clock Monday afternoon.
A person on a plane told staff that a passenger had threatened that they had a bomb.
The suspect was arrested and the plane was searched while the airport was put into lockdown.
No explosives were found on the plane.
Waterloo Regional Police charged the man with Uttering Threats to Cause Death and Mischief – Interfere with Operation of Property.
He was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
