Residents in the Grand River Watershed asked to reduce water use

You’re being asked to cut your water consumption if you live in the Grand River watershed.

The Grand River Conservation Authority is asking residents to reduce their water use by 20 per cent as the hot, dry summer weather continues.

Between mid-June and mid-July, the watershed received approximately 25 per cent of the normal amount of precipitation for that period and the entire watershed has now been placed at Level 2 under the Ontario Low Water Response Program.

The last time the level was declared for the entire watershed was in 2016.
