The Director of Education for the Avon Maitland District School Board will be retiring next year.
Dr. Lisa Walsh has been in the position for the last six years and will be calling it a career in August 2024.
Board officials say she has championed an inclusive and equitable education system during her time that included training, support, and learning to ensure the success and support of all students and staff.
She has had a 35-year career in education.
