A Heart cover band is among the talent as Stratford Live Music & Food Festival gets going on Friday featuring bands from a variety of genres, including some local musicians.
Food will include the annual rib offerings, which organizers say are a crowd favourite.
Tina Groenestege from Stratford Live Music & Food says this weekend is packed with many performances, such as Just Heart, an international tribute band to Heart, as well as youth performances and more by the New Boys, Dave Murphy Band, and many others.
“That’s what we want to provide though, it’s an event for the community where everyone can come out, dance, and have a good time,” said Groenestege.”
“We’re a not-for-profit event, so you know your funds if any profits are made to get reinvested back into the event for the logistics.”
This weekend’s event will be at the band shell on Veterans Drive.
Daily tickets range from $10-$20.
Children 12 and under enter for free.
