Weather warning: Heavy rainfall in Stratford and parts of Perth County

Heavy rain with torrential downpours is expected Wednesday until Thursday morning.

According to Environment Canada, Rainfall could reach 40 to 80 mm, with some areas getting even more.

The heaviest rain will be today and tonight.

Drivers should watch for flash floods, and water pooling, and watch for possible washouts near rivers and creeks.

If it’s hard to see while driving, slow down, watch for brake lights ahead, and be prepared to stop.

This warning is in effect for Stratford, Mitchell, and southern Perth County.
