The 17th Annual Embro Truck and Tractor Pull will draw around 9,000 visitors this weekend.
Steve Dow from Knox United Church in Embro highlighted its significance and said it’s a huge event, organized by Oxford County Junior Farmers.
“It’s a volunteer organization, and they use the proceeds from this event to benefit community fundraisers all over the county, including hospitals, seniors’ homes, splash pads, and pools,” Dow said.
“The local groups in Embro and surrounding areas get a lot of benefit from it, too,” said Dow.
Gates open at 4 p.m on Friday. The farm stock tractor pull starts at 5 p.m. On Saturday, gates open at 2 p.m. The modified truck and tractor pull begins at 3 p.m. A kid’s pedal tractor pull begins at 5 p.m.
There is live music by the Trash Whippers later on Saturday.
Tickets are $20 per day or $35 for the weekend.
The event is located near Cambrocourt Apartments on Embro Road, on the 37th Line.
Anyone who wants to volunteer at the event can contact Dow before it begins at [email protected], and can get free admission.
