Stratford Skating Club’s annual competition has expanded to four days, and will feature 932 skaters for its Provincial Series-December Classic.
Events, running Dec. 12-15 at Stratford Rotary Complex, will include men’s and women’s singles at the Star 5-Gold levels, and Pre-Juvenile and Juvenile Free programs.
Everyone is welcome to attend, with cost-per-day at $10 for adults and $5 for students (aged 4-17) and seniors (age 60+). Children age three and under are free.
Events start at 10 a.m. on Dec. 12 and run on both ice surfaces until 6 p.m. on Dec. 15.
Skaters’ scores are archived and compared with others in the province.
Skaters top scores at end of February could get them an invitation to the Skate Ontario Provincial Championships in March, also in Stratford.
The club’s Special Olympics west qualifier also returns this season.
