A Stratford resident’s guide to voting in the upcoming provincial election

With the provincial election fast approaching, Elections Ontario has released more information for local voters, including where you can vote in the city.

There are seven places to cast a ballot on election day Feb. 27, including Stratford Rotary Complex, Burnside Agriplex, Stratford’s University of Waterloo campus, Stratford Legion Branch 8, Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans Unit 261, Knights of Columbus Hall and the Quality Inn.

The local elections office informed MyStratfordNow that voter information cards will be mailed out this week with eligible voters receiving them shortly thereafter.

There are seven candidates running for MPP of Perth-Wellington: Jason Davis (NDP), Conservative Matthew Rae, Liberal Ashley Fox, James Montgomery of the New Blue Party, Ian Morton for the Greens, Ontario Party’s Sarah Zenuh, and Rob Smink for the Freedom Party.

You can visit the Elections Ontario website, and input your postal code to learn where to vote in anywhere in the Perth-Wellington riding.

In Stratford, advanced voting location will be the Stratford Rotary Complex.

*A previous version of this story included the Best Western Arden Park Hotel as a voting location on election day. This has since been changed to Stratford Legion Branch 8.
