It’s a chance to share your cancer story while making an impact.
The South West Regional Cancer Program is hosting its first ever Patient Education Symposium this Saturday in Stratford.
The symposium invites those impacted by cancer including patients both current and former, family members and caregivers from the region to share their experiences.
Tammy Quigley, Vice President of Cancer, Renal, Mental Health & Patient Flow for London Health Sciences Centre and Regional VP of South West Regional Cancer Program, said its a chance to gather in a supportive environment to learn first-hand about the successes and perceived gaps in cancer care education in the region.Â
“As much those of us who work in the cancer program think we might know what patients need, it’s really really important for us to hear directly from not only patients but also their family members.”
The discussions and feedback will help shape the cancer program’s 2025/2026 patient education strategy.
The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Grayson Mills in Stratford.
The symposium is free to attend but pre-registration is required.
