Huron Perth Public Health announced Friday (April 11) several more measles community exposures in Stratford and one in Wingham.
The exposures in Stratford occurred at the following places on April 5; Long & McQuade Music Instruments from 9:55 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.; Ross’ Bike Works from 10:10 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. and; St. Joseph’s Catholic Church from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m
The exposure in Wingham happened at the Wingham & District Hospital’s Diagnostic Imagaing Area on Wednesday (April 9) from 9:15 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.
Anyone at these locations during these time frames needs to monitor for measles signs and symptoms for 21 days after exposure.
Call public health if you/your family member were present at this location during this timeframe and were born in or after 1970 and have not received two doses of measles-containing vaccines or are at high risk of severe measles illness.
