Charges laid against Central Huron resident after New Year’s Day collision

Huron OPP have laid charges against a 25-year-old North Huron man, after a two-vehicle collision on New Year’s Day claimed the life of a Central Huron resident.

OPP laid a formal charge of dangerous driving causing death on April 8.

The 32-year-old victim was driving a truck hauling a cattle trailer at 1:35 p.m. that afternoon on Blyth Road near Hensall Road in Huron East.

The accused, driving an SUV, was not injured, police said.
