City approves contract with Gateman Milloy to build new soccer field

Stratford City Council has given Gateman Milloy the green light for Festival Hydro Community Park.

They approved a contract worth about $1 million for the artificial turf soccer field at Monday night’s meeting.

The new field is being built at the Rotary Soccer Park on Packham Road.

A report in the Beacon Herald says construction could start next week with the surface ready for play by April.
