Property owners in Stratford have until June 1st to get rid of any noxious weeds on their lands.
If you have giant hogweed, ragweed or poison ivy, the city says you need to get rid of it. Â European buckthorn, thistles and jointed goat grass are also considered noxious weeds.
Property owners are also responsible for maintaining their lands throughout the season. If the city needs to come in and get rid of noxious weeds, the property owner will be on the hook for the bill.
