St. Mary’s woman dies after crash near Sebringville

An 81-year-old woman has died after a collision involving a car and a transport truck near Sebringville.

Police say it happened around 4:00 p.m. Monday on Perth Road 130 near Perth Line 32 with two people who were in the car air lifted to hospital.

They have identified the woman as Elizabeth Hibbert from St. Mary’s who they say died later in hospital with the second person still in hospital.

The transport truck driver was assessed at the scene by paramedics.

Police say they don’t anticipate charges will be laid in the collision.
