New ownership takes over Stratford’s mall

Stratford’s mall is under new ownership and has a new name.
Cambridge-based property group Central Views now owns the mall on Ontario Street and one of their first orders of business was to change its name from Festival Marketplace to the Stratford Mall, in an effort to simplify things.
The mall is currently fully occupied as far as stores go, thanks to some temporary businesses that have set up ahead of the holiday shopping season.
The new owners say some of their future goals include upgrading the food court.
Omar Kaake is one of the new co-owners of the mall and he says they want to make sure they are fully engaged with the community.
“There’s a lot of good things happening in Stratford that are very exciting, the more I go the more I actually love the place, the downtown’s vibrant so just trying to keep all of that tied together.”
A new website for the mall is expected to be launched shortly.
