The Stratford General Hospital is getting $2.3 million in provincial funding to go towards doctors working after hours.
Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae says the money is being provided through the Hospital On-Call Coverage program.
Rae says it will allow hospitals to continue providing quality care 24/7.
The funding follows through on previous agreements between the Ontario Medical Association and the Ontario Ministry of Health to increase dedicated funding for physicians on-call.
